The Residence S. Alfonso was built by the Redemptorist Fathers between 1910 and 1920 in a terrace of Mount St. Egidio, offering spectacular views of Cortona and the Chiana Valley.
The building has two floors, the first of about 400 square meters area was used as a refectory and daytime activities, the second of 800 square meters was a single room used as sleeping quarters.
The property covers 13 hectares, including terraces and woods, mostly characterized by different pathways from the Romanesque period, as the source of good drinking water that supplies water to the facility offers obvious signs of its glorious past.
For nearly two years has begun a thorough renovation which would transform the structure into 14 apartments, from various sizes, from 40 square meters in addition to small private garden, to the apartments of 80 square degrees more.
